Backup is a must to protect your data. One way to backup your usb drive is using USB IMAGE TOOL (180.27 kb) that can be downloaded freely from http://www.alexpage.de/download/usbit/usbit.zip.
Follow the instruction below to use this software for BACKUP.
1. Open the software.
2. Click Rescan button. The tool will try to find all usb drive that has been attached in your computer.
3. Click the usb drive that you want to backup.
4. Click the Backup button, please specify where you want to save the backup file. That backup file will be saved in image format (*.img, *.ima)
5. Clik Save button, and now you will see backup status bar.
Follow the instruction below to use this software for RESTORE
1. Open the software.
2. Click Rescan button. The tool will try to find all usb drive that has been attached in your computer.
3. Click the destination restore usb drive.
4. Click the Restore button, find where you save the backup file.
5. Click open, and you will see the dialog box that ask Do you want to restore image ‘[file backup source]’ to ‘[Device Name]’?
6. Click yes, and now you will see restore status bar.
By using this software, you also can know more about your usb device such as device name, device number, device identifier, device path, device size, device serial, volume path, volume name, volume file system, volume size and volume free.
